Thank you to Mrs. Brown for the Scavenger hunt which the children enjoyed. The Raffle basket was won by Joe Bucanelli. Karen Wojtowicz explained lessons learned from that event, and that next yr. we may want to have a cooler for the ice cream and possibly eliminate soda and have lemonade. We also learned we only needed one grill.

Karen Wojtowicz reviewed proposed changes to the H.A.R.T. Bylaws :
Homeroom parents rule : may hold position 2 consecutive years and only more if there are no volunteers for the position. It was discussed that there should possibly be an alternate pick, in the event that the homeroom parent cannot fulfill their duties. It was also discussed that a person could be homeroom parent for more than one child. We discussed the importance of this position and that it should be taken seriously and the volunteer should be made aware of their duties and be aware that they could be removed from the position if the teacher indicates that they are not making the necessary phone calls, etc.

It was discussed that the need for a nominating committee is not present and could be removed from Section 2 of the bylaws.

The wording for H.A.R.T. positions would remain as is in the current bylaws.

It was discussed that the newsletter and minutes are no longer sent home but can be found on the H.A.R.T. website.

No need for Member At Large position and can be removed from bylaws.

Executive Committees: eliminate Logo Wear position. Also Chairpersons for events such as Harvest festival, etc. not required to attend officer mtgs.

Meeting Date Changes: change from 1st Tuesday to 1st Thursday of month at same time. No objections to this change were presented at the meeting.Letter will be sent home letting people know about this change.

We will vote on approved changes at next meeting which will be held on Thurs. October 7,2010
