September Minutes

The meeting was called to order by President Dawn Knoebel at 6:01pm.

In attendance were: Officers – Dawn Knoebel, Bob Eick, Amanda Noblit, and Jen Daubert

Parents present: Amanda Gehron, Melissa Katch, Allison, Clark, Jen Zarlw, Ken Zarko, Robin MW Cronin, Sherry Humphrey, Terry Genners, Cindy Baylor, Lynn Madden, Angella Gemberling, and Kristi Rosini

New Business: 
Amy Snyder has stepped down as H.A.R.T treasurer and Amanda Noblit has been nominated by Lynn. Angela and Amanda second nomination.
Labels for Education program has been discontinued as of July 2016.
Box Tops for Education (Sherry Humphrey – Chair) -  will begin the week of 9/20 and are due 10/14/2016. Currently there is $975.00 left in account. The classroom who collects the most Box Tops for Education will receive a party. 

Vice President report: The H.A.R.T donations are at a standing $1,085.00 as of 9/15

3rd Grade $4031.11
4th Grade $4018.82
Total:        $11,966.82 as of 8/31/2016
Part of the 4th Grade total will go into the 5th grade account.
The report was approved with a motion from Dawn and a second from Jen Daubert

2016 Budget Review - ending balance is $23,534.41
Motion to approve budget – Lynn approved and Amanda second approval.

Secretary’s report: May minutes were reviewed and approved by Sherry.

Principals report:
Mr. Fetterman is very thankful for the attendance at September’s H.A.R.T meeting. He mentioned that Volunteers need all their clearances turned in and approved in order to volunteer for any school related functions. Fire Prevention week starts Ocotber 9-15. Ocotber 5th is the Fire Prevention Day event at G.C Hartman Elementary. 

New business & Upcoming events:
Yankee Candle Fundraiser is currently underway starting 9/14 and ending 10/14. The delivery of the Yankee candles will be between 2-4 weeks. The chair person in charge of Yankee Candle is Sue Griscavage.
Harvest Festival – the day of festival is in need of volunteers.
Hartman Hustle – Top fundraising class and student from each grade will receive a prize.
SCRIP cards – dates TBA
9/14/2016 – Scheduled 2 Hr delay
9/19/2016 – Grandparent’s Day event for Kindergarten (8:30-9:30), 1st Grade (10:00-11:00), 2nd Grade (12:45-1:45)
9/20/2016 – Grandparent’s Day event for 3rd Grade (100:00-11:00) and 4th Grade (8:30-9:30)
9/24/2016 - My School Color Run. 
Check in starts at 10:00 am with the 5K Run beginning at 11:00am. The 5K race will be followed by the Fun Run.
9/28/2016 – Wacky Wednesday
9/29/2016 – In Service Day (No School)
9/30/2016 – Bloomsburg Fair Day (No School)
10/5/2016 – Fire Safety Day
10/5/2016 – H.A.R.T meeting at 6:00pm in the Elementary Library

10/14/2016 – Box Tops for Education and Yankee Candle orders are due
10/21/2016 – Hat Day
