This will not include the Sky Ride and Haunted House. The higher prices will increase our total by only around $100.00. He further added that the last school day will be June 1st with dismissal at 10:30 a.m..
Mr. Shirvinski then spoke about the Spelling Bee which will be held on April 12th.He said that participating students were given 2 tickets each so they can invite parents, etc..There will be traditional spelling bee rules.

The meeting will be a townhall meeting that will allow for discussion of the impact of the governor's 2011-2012 budget on public school education. School directors, administrators and the public are invited to this meeting. The meeting will focus on the severe budget cuts to the education system. Another topic in the Principal's Report was field trip clearances. Chaperones who will be going on any overnight trips with students, must have their clearances. This does not apply to the elementary school as they do not do overnight trips.
Mr. Shirvinski explained that there is now a state regulation that requires a nurse to accompany students on field trips in order to dispense medications. If the parent of a student requiring meds. is not available to attend the trip, the school nurse or another RN or LPN must be on the trip. If a nurse would not be available, the trip would have to be canceled. Mr. Shirvinski added that all field trips for the school year have been covered with an RN and none will need to be canceled. A question was asked if another RN could step in if the school nurse is not available and Mr. Shirvinski will be checking on this detail.
